Direct Folders - Access your folders instantly no matter how long it's path is
Lazy PC users, rejoice. The time consuming and the exhausting process of navigating explorer windows in order to get somewhere is over. You won't even need to create shortcuts anymore. All hail Direct Folders.
A small package and an installation process that you'll only catch a glimpse of it is all that stands in your way to fulfilling the ultimate laziness stage. The kit is just over one Mb and after a few "next" buttons, installing will take less than a second without needing to restart or doing anything else.
Direct Folders doesn't even have an actual interface, just an options window. Here you can target your favorite folders, do some extra settings if you feel like it and that's it. Now, instead of accessing My Computer and navigating through it, you can simply click the middle mouse button on your desktop and a menu will pop up. Besides some basic options, the program allows you to find all your targeted folders here. Click them and jump right to them.
There are other things you can do with Direct Folders, like quickly launch an application or get information about your partitions, but this requires buying the Pro version. You may also get some errors while playing around with the software, but nothing serious. It will run perfectly.
Pros:
You can have Direct Folders up and running in under one minute. Setting up your target folders is done easily without needing to navigate through labyrinths of menus and buttons.
Cons:
There's nothing really wrong with Direct Folders. An error message may pop up in certain cases, but the program itself will still run without a hitch.
With an almost instant installation process and menus that are easy to understand, Direct Folders lets you instantly access a folder that you'd normally spend a lot of time to find in an explorer window.
